Eric Johnson is a native San Diegan and spent his youth playing sports and being active. From a young age, he knew he wanted to serve in the military after seeing the examples set by both grandparents, and to be part of something bigger than himself. He was afforded the opportunity to attend the United States Naval Academy, where he graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He used this degree and served as a Civil Engineer Corps officer for eight years in the United States Navy and deployed four times in five years to Israel, Afghanistan and Iraq in support of overseas operations. While these experiences had a profound impact on him, he felt a desire to try something new and separated from the Navy to become an entrepreneur. After his transition from the Navy in 2016, he attended the University of Southern California and received his Master's in Business to help guide him through the start-up of Trident Coffee. Now serving as the CEO of Trident Coffee, he is focused on creating connections with people over coffee and finding ways to make positive impacts in the veteran community.
