Our ”Member in the Spotlight” for May is Army veteran, Matthew James Wang. Originally from Guam, Matthew is currently a vice president and private wealth manager with Merrill Private Wealth Management in New York City. He provides sustained leadership, advice, and coordination to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions, helping them accomplish more with their wealth.
Prior to joining the private sector, Matthew served in the Army from 2006 to 2015. He earned a Bronze Star Medal for his actions during combat in Afghanistan.
Matthew graduated from The United States Military Academy with a degree in Nuclear Engineering Management and also holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He lives in New York with his wife, Chloe, and their twins. In his free time, Matt likes to play and watch basketball and football. He is an avid traveler and is happy to share ideas about Guam or Palau, his parents’ homeland, as well as two of his favorite destinations, Malta and Sicily.
